We always love hearing “BeautySoClean” come from the mouth of Goss. Our favorite part comes at 3:28!

I am often asked to recommend a good brush set. And sorry, but my typical answer is:  “buy what’s in your budget and stick to a Brand you like”.  I know this is not much help but you will instantly be attracted to a set, the feel, the color and the price. Stock up on additional must haves, like powder, concealor, eye fluff and angle, various liner brushes and blush and contour. Really the rest of your makeup can be applied with disposables or sponges.

Consumer tip

All of the makeup brands sell very decent brushes, sometimes sets are available with a GWP, take advantage of any specials or purchase with purchase.  If you are looking for more of a Pro set, Makeup Forever has amazing brushes (love the eye liner brushes) and MAC of course has any type of brush you can ever dream of… and they have great value and will last a super long time. Just remember to keep them clean and fresh for longevity.

Applicators

Disposable only, never double dip…use spatulas to pick up additional product. Need I say more!!??

In this world it is absolutely unacceptable to reuse any applicator that came with a compact or product. The first thing I ever do is THROW out the applicators, puff or sponge that comes with any cosmetics I purchase. I stock up on lip/gloss wands, mascara wands, sponge applicators and carry tons of Q-tips with me. Bottom line: any good MUA can do a full application with a Q-tip if  needed. Buying in bulk really cuts the cost down, so remember to LOAD UP!

PRO TIP

I always work with a spatula, using my mascara wand, I remove the mascara from the tube and place lots on my spatula. It makes sense to grab extra mascara from the spatula, doesn’t it  Not the tube with the same wand!! If you double dip you are defeating the whole purpose of disposable wands sooo WHY bother if you don’t stick to the strict do double dip policy. I have seen numerous MUA’s double dip, I truly don’t get it!

**TRY THIS: Wipe the spatula with a BeautySoClean wipe when you are finished with the product so that you can use the same spatula for lipstick or eye liner..soooo simple to be clean!**

Consumer Tip

All drug stores carry fabulous packages of applicators, puffs and sponges. Use them once and throw them out! Do not throw your applicators back in to the “fire” of your makeup bag. Your makeup bag is probably crawling with Bacteria, skin cells, decaying food particles…it’s pretty ugly in there. Would you use the same face cloth for a year??? Hell no, sanitize your makeup with BeautySoClean and change those applicators and especially your puff or sponge from your power as often as you change your underwear! Your bacteria free face will thank you!
